Why Learn Tai Chi
Tai Chi enhances balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination—supporting joint health and fall prevention. Mentally, it brings relaxation and focus, often described as “meditation in motion.” It also cultivates yielding, timing, and body mechanics useful in self-defense.
What is Wudang Tai Chi
Wudang Tai Chi is a traditional form of Tai Chi developed by Cheng Tin Hung. Influenced by the Wu style, it focuses on both health and self-defense. Rooted in Taoist principles and internal energy cultivation, it emphasizes relaxed, efficient movement, partner drills, and practical martial applications such as throws, locks, and strikes. Unlike more performance-oriented styles, Wudang Tai Chi is designed to be functional; combining mindfulness, body mechanics, and internal strength in everyday practice.
